At Whinlatter Bikes, we have a large fleet of mountain, road, kids and electric bikes available year-round. No matter where you want to explore, we have the bike to suit you. The Shimano electric motor system used on our Merida ebikes enables every single hill in the surrounding area to be tackled, leaving no corner of the North Lakes' unreachable.
Each bike hired from Whinlatter Bikes is supplied with everything you need for the days riding at no extra cost. Helmets, repair kits and even maps are all essentials when riding, so we supply them free of charge with each bike!
All of our staff members have excellent knowledge of local trails, road routes and famliy days out. Each ride we reccomend has been tried and tested, with every possible cafe along the way also sampled in our quest for the perfect pit-stop!

Our favourite electric trail bike in the shop right now! Capable of eating up trails, this bike will get you racing up and down all day long. The new Kenda tyres stick to the ground no matter the conditions, and the Manatou forks soak up rough stuff too.

Merida eBig Tour
Touring the many hills in the Northern lakes is no easy feat, unless you're on the Merida eBig Tour. This comfortable, capable bike is powered by the Shimano eSteps electric system, allowing you to cruise any number of hills all day long. Whether you fancy a roll around Derwent Water, or an epic self-guided tour of the Borrowdale and Newlands valleys, the Merida eBig Tour will get you where you want to go!
Suitable for on road adventures, and light off-road explorations.

Merida Big Nine 600
Riding the many Cross-County and All-Mountain style trails surrounding Keswick is light work on Merida's Big Nine. A lightweight hardtail with 29" wheels, equally suited to rolling Keswick's old railway line and riding trail centres alike, get out for the day for just £20 per bike per day!
